STRICTLY Come Dancing should be scrapped for a year to save its reputation, says an executive who helped to launch the show.
Sam Hodges, an ex-BBCTV head of communications, thinks shelving it in a Glastonbury-style fallow year would allow new energy to return.
He said: “The series has been tough on a host of fronts. Reputationally its biggest boost might come from helping people realise what they'd miss.”
