Troubles vet fears Chelsea deal will leave him homeless

AN Army veteran who faces being made homeless if Chelsea Football Club buy the land his flat is built on, has hit out at the club's owner.

Paul White, 53, has lived in Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions in west London for almost three years, prior to which he was "living in a tent".

Now he is "fearful of being homeless on the street again".

Chelsea and Stoll, the charity that owns the complex, have reached a deal "in principle" worth £80million for the purchase of the site.

The arrangement will see the residents war heroes or close relatives of military personnel forced out, some with no alternative housing.
