ARNE SLOT says Darwin Nunez is firing again after he gave the Liverpool striker a public kick up the backside.

Slot blasted Nunez last month over his work rate - or lack of - in a couple of games.

He feels Nunez answered the challenge when he laid on the late winner for Harvey Elliott against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this week.

Head coach Slot praised Nunez’s contribution as he said: “He was back to being the normal Darwin, the player he was for seven or eight months.

“Once or twice was exceptional and for the other games, well he’s so loved by the fans because he’s always given everything since he’s been here.
