ENGLAND roared in celebration last night as the Lionesses clinched a 2-1 win against Italy in a dramatic Euro 2025 semifinal clash after extra time.

Fans across the country were on their feet as Sarina Wiegman's side valiantly fought back from Italy's 1-0 lead in a game that kept the nation on the edge of their seats through to extra time.

It was a cagey start from both sides, who had endured rocky roads to the semifinals with England having lost their opener to France, and Italy managing just one win in the group stages.

But it was Italy who struck first and decisively, as Barbara Bonansea fired a shot past Hannah Hampton to give Andrea Soncin's side the lead.
