Star's interview meltdown

STRICTLY Come Dancing was plunged into chaos yesterday after contestant Thomas Skinner stormed out of the show’s first press event — just as BBC supremo Tim Davie defended the decision to cast him.

The Apprentice star, 34, stunned journalists at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire, when he grabbed a reporter’s phone and quit after just two interviews, declaring: “I’m not doing this.”

Crisis talks are taking place over whether the father of three should remain in the competition.

Boycott

Viewers had already threatened to boycott Strictly after Skinner posed with US president Donald Trump’s number two, JD Vance, and described him as a “proper gent”.

He has denied being “too political” for the ballroom.

Skinner had reportedly taken exception to being recorded yesterday, which is standard practice at the event.
