Starmer: Reform UK are now the official opposition

JITTERY Sir Keir Starmer has ordered his party to focus its sights on Reform UK because it is the main opposition now.

The Prime Minister is willing to face-off against his rival Nigel Farage in a live head-to-head TV debate before the next general election.

Reform’s victory in the Runcorn and Helsby by-election combined with its surging poll ratings has triggered the change of attack, although they only have five MPs.

A senior Labour source said: “The Tories are over, Reform is now the main opposition.”

The Express understands that the Prime Minister regards Mr Farage as a more popular figure than Conservative Kemi Badenoch.
