RUSSIA joined Ukraine and the US for direct trilateral peace talks for the first time as the fourth anniversary of the Kremlin’s full invasion approaches.
Negotiators representing the three nations met in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said the talks are “a step, hopefully, towards ending the war”.
He confirmed the meetings, which are expected to continue today, would focus on the status of Ukraine’s disputed eastern Donbas region.
