Released inmate battered female warder in 'revenge'

AN ex-inmate has been jailed again after waited outside prison and violently attacked a female warder who he believed had “laughed at him” during his time inside.

Just five days after his release, Sam Morrison punched the woman causing multiple fractures to her eye socket, jaw and cheekbone, plus permanent nerve damage causing facial numbness. The assault also cost her several teeth.

He had loitered near Norwich Prison with a bottle of lager and approached the woman as she tried to drive off.
