You might have sworn to lose weight, give up alcohol — even go vegan for Veganuary — or you may have promised yourself that this is the year to find your forever home.Whether you're downsizing or rightsizing, there comes a time when most people realise their home is too big or too difficult for them to maintain. Yet most remain in unsuitable homes because they don't want to leave a lifetime of memories, or because the sheer effort of moving is beyond them.

Finding a suitable new home can also be difficult but it’s never too late to look, as Martin and Sue Everett - aged 86 and 84 — can confirm.
