Profits surge for London to Channel Tunnel railway line

LONDON St Pancras Highspeed, which runs the rail line between the capital and the Channel Tunnel, has reported its biggest profit in more than a decade.
Pretax earnings were £136.6million in the year to March 31, accounts filed with Companies House show.
That is up from £101.4m in the preceding 12 months.
It is the highest profit since it raked in £573.1m in 2012/ 2013, a figure boosted by over 5,000 extra services run during the London Olympics. Since its last pretax loss - £72m in 2017 - the firm has made a total profit of over £585m.
The latest accounts for London St Pancras Highspeed also show revenue fell in the year from £299.8m to £293.4m.
