Forget the tour curse... England are eyeing Paris title showdown

ENGLAND will have to defy history to bring home the Six Nations title - but Steve Borthwick's side have never been in better shape to do it.

England have not won a title since 2020, and have not won a Grand Slam since Dylan Hartley's side triumphed in 2016, rounding off their campaign with a grandstand finish in Paris.

This year they finish off rugby's greatest annual tournament back at Stade de France, on March 14, where Antoine Dupont and co will be waiting, probably with a chance of winning the trophy themselves.

Head coach Borthwick set the tone, uncharacteristically, recently for the whole campaign by saying he wants England fans “flooding over the Channel” for that showdown.

And if England get there with a shot at the title - after negotiating games against Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Italy - that will count as a decent performance in the Six Nations.
