Barca ace Yamal fired up Henry for Saints' final say

HENRY POLLOCK revealed a look at Leinster’s team sheet and Barcelona’s footballing sensation Lamine Yamal inspired his part in Northampton’s shock semi-final win here in Dublin.

Just 20, Pollock went toe-to-toe with Josh van der Flier, a former World Player of the Year, as Saints tore up the form book and marched to the Champions Cup final.

Leinster are basically the Ireland team plus three world superstars in Kiwi Jordie Barrett, South Africa’s RG Snyman and France’s Rabah Slimani.

But back-row Pollock scored a stunning 50-metre try and put himself firmly in the Lions conversation for when Andy Farrell announces the squad for Australia on Thursday. Yamal, 17, also showed Pollock — as if he needed it — that if you are old enough, you are good enough in Barca’s 3-3 draw with Inter Milan last Wednesday.
