Pepsi pulls out of festival headlined by Kanye West

The drinks giant has been a partner of the music event since 2015 but is withdrawing over the singer’s repeated antisemitic rants.

And another global drinks brand yesterday withdrew as a partner, with Diageo, owners of Guinness and Captain Morgan rum, saying: “as it stands, Diageo will not sponsor the 2026 Wireless Festival”.

The move comes after Sir Keir Starmer called the decision to have the US singer perform on all three nights of the festival at Finsbury Park, North London, “deeply concerning”.

A source said: “Following the mounting backlash surrounding the announcement and Sir Keir Starmer speaking out, Pepsi's position as festival sponsor became untenable.
