Nurses abandoned by unions hooked on trans ideology
Daily Express

REMEMBER when unions defended staff who were racially abused?
Brave nurses Sandie Peggie, Bethany Hutchison, Jennifer Melle and Lisa Lockey
When they fought for the dignity of working women?Today, Unison and the Royal College of Nursing have abandoned those principles. Instead, they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men who expect women to strip alongside them, and by the employers who open the changing-room door.
Nothing exposes that betrayal more starkly than the case of Jennifer Melle. Two years ago, the senior nurse was repeatedly called the N-word by a convicted child abuser transferred from a high-security men’s prison for treatment.
After overhearing Ms Melle refer to him as “he” and “Mr”, the patient lunged towards her and swore. It’s the sort of terrifying confrontation most of us will never have to deal with in our professional lives, yet she kept calm and did her job.
Shaken but resolute, Ms Melle explained that while she would use the patient’s chosen name, she could not use female pronouns because of her Christian faith.
Her employer’s response was not support, but punishment — a written warning and a referral to the Nursing and Midwifery Council. When she complained about her treatment in public, the trust suspended her.
