Nursery worker admits sexually abusing children

A FORMER nursery worker has admitted 26 sickening offences after videos of him sexually abusing four children were found on his devices.

Vincent Chan, 45, yesterday pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault of a child by penetration and four counts of sexual assault of a child by touching. Other offences he admitted included 11 counts of creating indecent images of children, some in the worst category of abuse.

Chan had worked at a branch of Bright Horizons nurseries for almost seven years before he was found out. In June 2024, a colleague reported him to police after he showed them a video he had taken, of a child falling asleep in their food set to music.

He was arrested and held on suspicion of neglect, which resulted in him losing his job at the nursery, before being released on bail.
