Fan fury at Osmajic is fair says boss

PAUL HECKINGBOTTOM would not blame Preston supporters for wanting to show Milutin Osmajic the door.

North End's Montenegro forward starts a three-match ban after adding to a lengthy rap sheet following his red card for headbutting Hull midfielder John Lundstram (right) in the midweek defeat to the Tigers.

Osmajic has now been suspended for 20 games in the last 16 months, after he had to sit out nine for racially abusing Burnley's Hannibal Mejbri last year and eight for biting Blackburn's Owen Beck in September 2024.

Many fans reckon the six-goal striker isn’t worth the trouble and want him shipped out.

Boss Heckingbottom said: “I spoke to him after the game but I've not spoken to him since. It makes my job more difficult because we've not got him for three games.”
