Little Mix's Leigh-Anne fears for animals
LITTLE Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock said her “heart broke” when she saw penguins in a basement enclosure without fresh air or daylight.
The singer and actress, 33, was commenting on a video posted online showing the Sea Life London Aquarium habitat where 15 penguins are held in a “small glass tank”.
Leigh-Anne said: “I’m so happy people are shedding light on this. My heart broke when I saw this.”
It is unclear whether the star has visited the aquarium herself or was responding to the footage shared by photographer Misan Harriman to his 303,000 Instagram followers.
The voiceover in the video showing a walkthrough of the enclosure said: “This dark, dingy room under ground is where the London Aquarium is confining 15 penguins.
“You have to go around this dark corridor, past the Coca-Cola machine, then stuck at the back is a small glass tank with the penguins.
