Migrant accused of three sex assaults within days of arriving on small boat

AN asylum seeker tried to kiss a 14-year-old girl just days after he reached the UK, a court heard.

Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu allegedly approached children in Epping, Essex this month and asked them for a slice of pizza.

The Ethiopian reportedly spoke to them about making “babies” before following a 14-year-old girl.

Kebatu, 38, is accused of three sex assaults in two days, just eight days after arriving on a small boat.

He is alleged to have approached a woman before returning to speak with the same 14-year-old from the previous day, touching her thigh.

Kebatu, who was assisted by a translator, denies sexual assault plus charges of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and harassment without violence.
