Sneyd aims to cap comeback tale with third Wembley title
MARC SNEYD still cannot quite believe he is getting another shot at Wembley.
Earlier this year the ex-England scrum-half was marooned in Salford’s financial mess, staring at a bleak future and unsure if he could even play due to their stifling sustainability cap.
Just three months after a £75,000 transfer to Warrington, though, he is now plotting to leave Super League leaders Hull KR in a mess of their own and lift the Challenge Cup again.
Sneyd has twice won rugby league’s most prestigious knockout competition, with Hull FC in 2016 and 2017.
But looking back at his unusual path to today’s showpiece, the 34-year-old said: “It’s a hard one. It’s all still going on at Salford.
