Lost...£700k battle over luxury flat's bath and cupboard

THE buyer of a luxury flat has lost a £700,000 court battle after suing because she said a one square metre cupboard was in the wrong place.

Mi Suk Park claimed she was promised "the ultimate in luxury" when she paid a £381,000 deposit on a £1.5million two-bedroom Versace-designed flat, plus parking space, in the Aykon London One skyscraper.

The off-plan buy was made after Ms Park, 54, saw a brochure and floorplan for the deluxe home in the redeveloped Nine Elms district. She told Central London County Court it was intended to be her and her husband's "main home until retirement".

But she refused to move in, alleging it was "materially and manifestly different" from the layout and details she saw before paying the deposit.

She claimed the utility cupboard "impinges" on an anticipated open plan living space and one bathroom had a shower, not a bathtub.
