Liverpool FC crash driver sentence 'is too lenient'

THE Attorney General's Office is to consider whether Liverpool parade crash driver Paul Doyle's sentence was unduly lenient.
Doyle, 54, was jailed for 21 years and six months on Tuesday after he ploughed his Ford Galaxy through crowds at Liverpool FC's Premier League victory parade on May 30, injuring 134 people.
A spokesman for the Attorney General's Office said yesterday: "We have received several requests for Paul Doyle's sentence to be considered under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
