Lions have hit bullseye with cub Pollock

HENRY POLLOCK has been branded the Luke Littler of rugby by Northampton team-mate Alex Mitchell for the way he has gate-crashed international rugby.

The 20-year-old flanker has gone from a first Premiership start for Saints to a call-up for the Lions tour to Australia this summer in just seven months.

Littler, right, tagged 'The Nuke', is already darts world champion at 18 after storming the arrows scene and Pollock has done the same in rugby.

And, on the way, back-row Pollock has picked up a cult following at Northampton, with kids wearing his trademark black headband to games and mimicking his try celebrations.

Scrum-half Mitchell, one of four Northampton players named in the Lions squad, said: “It is great, stories like this, similar to Luke Littler and people love it. When he came through the academy last year, we knew he was going to be a quality player.

“We just didn’t know how soon that was going to be.
