Life-saving medic stung with £50 parking fine

A SURGEON who was given a parking fine as he fought to save a woman's life has been told to provide proof of his good deed or pay up.

Dr Nick Lagattolla was returning to his car after visiting a bank when he saw the casualty having a cardiac arrest in the street.

He took her indoors and gave her treatment for three hours which “essentially saved her life”.

But he later received the £50 penalty and after appealing, was told by the local council that he must provide evidence that he tended to the woman before it can be cancelled.
