Jordan Gray on working with co-star Nick Frost, throwing doughnuts and her crazy new sitcom set in a supermarket

Jordan Gray may have broken boundaries as The Voice UK’s first transgender contestant, but even she couldn't get around the health and safety rules on her new ITV comedy.

Jordan, 36, who stars as night-shift worker Liv, and Nick Frost, who plays her boss Simon, discovered that although Transaction is set in a supermarket, they couldn’t film with knives at the deli counter in case anyone got injured.

“Nick's an amazing chef, so Simon, his character, is also an amazing chef. I thought it would be funny for him to be doing a scene at the counter with a knife but they wouldn’t let Nick hold any sharp objects,” says Jordan.
