Junior doctors vote to keep striking for another six months

MILLIONS of NHS patients face more misery after junior doctors voted to continue striking for the next six months in a pay row escalation.

It comes just weeks after the latest walkout ended.

Junior doctors have now been on strike for 34 days during an unprecedented rolling programme of action.

But last night, they threatened to keep walking out for "the long haul" in an effort to achieve pay restoration.

Disruption

The dispute is thought to have cost at least £3billion and double the cost of settling it. And it will keep impacting almost eight million patients who continue languishing on waiting lists for surgery and appointments.
