Jordan's glove story continues as rivals wait for their chance

Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel will probably expect the Everton goalkeeper to have one of his quieter games against World Cup minnows Andorra tonight.

But there have been doubts over Pickford's No.1 status since Tuchel took charge in January, with fresh competition emerging and a new permanent manager in charge for the first time since 2016.

Burnley's James Trafford is seen as a big prospect for the future, while Dean Henderson showed his potential by helping Crystal Palace win the FA Cup — and it is clear both are ready to challenge in the long term.

Tuchel also sounded out Southampton keeper Aaron Ramsdale after taking charge, suggesting Pickford faced his biggest fight for the No.1 jersey since former manager Gareth Southgate made him first choice ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
