'I'm hoping that some day science will save my sight'

SIR Elton John catches up with pals like Sir Paul McCartney online so he can zoom in and see them now he's half blind, he revealed.

The 78-year-old megastar lost the sight in his right eye last year and his left is "not so good". However, he is optimistic that "some day science will help me with this one".

Sir Elton said: "It's been devastating. The last 15 months have been challenging because I haven't been able to see anything, watch anything, read anything. You just have to grin and bear it. It does get me down sometimes.
