House prices dip at top seaside spot...but you'll still shell out nearly £1m

WITH its golden sands and celebs' homes, Sandbanks is still king of the castle as the UK's most expensive seaside location - but its crown is slipping as prices dip.

The average sold property price in the Dorset hotspot fell by £33,595 (3%) last year to £965,708, according to Lloyds.

The South West of England still domi-nates the top 10 of dearest coastal sites.

Devon's Salcombe, known for galleries and boutiques, came second in the bank's list, with an average price of £826,159.

Cornish foodie favourite Padstow is third with a typical price tag of £715,974, ahead of Aldeburgh, Suffolk (£619,693) – famed for its arts scene and architecture.
