Hillsborough law brought in at last to quell anger

SIR Keir Starmer has confirmed the introduction of his much-delayed Hillsborough law, in a desperate move to quell growing anger before Labour's Liverpool conference.

The Ministry of Justice said the law will be introduced to parliament today, after warnings from Labour's Liverpool MPs that the major delay was unacceptable.

Labour pledged at the last election to bring in changes to prevent further tragedies like the 1989 Hillsborough disaster in which 97 football fans died.
