Help to shed the pounds

WHAT would you do if you came home and found Denise van Outen had been snooping around your house? Not only that but that she'd emptied your larder and fridge and replaced their contents with a load of cheap stuff from Poundland.

Personally, I'd say: "This has got to stop, Denise. That's, what, the fourth time this month..?"

And yet when this happens to the Phillips family from Kent, who feature tonight in a new series called THE BIG POUND SHOP SWAP (C4, 8pm), they don't seem to mind in the least. When they arrive home to find Denise standing in their driveway, bold as brass, her audacious mission apparently complete, they actually seem quite excited.

There are smiles, hugs and expressions of "lovely to meet you" all round.
