Great ball of fire! Snapper's hot shot of Sun plasma

THIS is the jaw-dropping moment the Sun spewed out a giant spike of plasma 125,000 miles high over its south pole.
Most such eruptions happen near the star's solar equator.
But Argentinian Eduardo Schaberger Poupeau snapped the rare polar spectacle as he dodged cloud cover.
Eduardo, 50, of Rafaela in Santa Fe, said: "The column of plasma was so extensive that I had to rotate the camera to fit it into the frame.
