Gran stole £163,000 from boss for caravan holidays

A WOMAN who stole £163,000 from her boss for caravan trips, getaways in Europe and a DIY pub in her garden has been jailed for 18 months.

Grandmother Patricia Bennett, 69, was unmasked when she retired from her long-time job at a family business.

Her successor discovered suspicious transactions dating back 13 years.

It emerged she had been siphoning off company cash to three bank accounts between 2008 and 2021.

Bennett enjoyed UK staycations as well as Greek and Spanish holidays, then set up a bar with husband of 50 years Lawrence at home - and posted images of it all on social media.
