Fulham ladies ex-captain: I was groped by AI Fayed

THE former captain of the Fulham women's team alleges she was sexually assaulted by the club's then owner Mohamed AI Fayed.

Ronnie Gibbons was 20 when she says she was "groped" on two occasions by the exHarrods boss in the summer of 2000.

The former player, now 44, told The Athletic website she was twice driven by members of Fulham's staff from the training ground in New Malden to the Harrods store in Knightsbridge.

She was expecting to speak to AI Fayed's children about football and on arrival was showered with chocolates and gifts, including an envelope containing £500.

Once in his office, AI Fayed, then 71, attempted to forcefully kiss her, made her sit on his knee while he stroked her and then groped her as she attempted to leave.
