FRY VOWS TO USE HURT TO STIR UP BORO

DAEL FRY promised supporters that Middlesbrough's players will use the hurt of their first defeat of the season to give them many more moments to cheer.

Boro were beaten thanks to Minhyeok Yang's first-half strike to end an eight-game unbeaten start to the season.

The defeat also saw the early league leaders leapfrogged by free-scoring Coventry City at the top of the table.

Boro were cheered on by a sold-out 2,100-strong away end at Fratton Park, with supporters sticking around at full-time to show their appreciation to the players, even after defeat.
