SKY Sports has come a long way since presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys were booted out for being sexist oafs.

Such a distance it appears to have gone full circle. A whole 15 years since Gray gestured to his trouser fly and asked his female co-host to “tuck this in for me, love”, the channel has once again found itself at the centre of sexism scandal.

Just three days after launching its “lil sis” Halo, a TikTok channel for young female sports fans, all posts were deleted after an avalanche of complaints about its patronising content. Pink sparkly font, heart emojis, incomprehensible babble about Labubu dolls and girlboss energy etc inexplicably layered over footage of men's teams.

For example, one clip showed Manchester City’s Erling Haaland smashing in a goal against Bournemouth, with the caption: “How the matcha + hot girl walk combo hits.” (Me neither).

Another post featuring the incoming New York Mayor, read: “Thinking about Zohran Mamdani rizzing us and Arsenal up.” (Still nothing.) Another one celebrated female rugby players in Barbie doll form. (Got it).
