Farage is Trump card in tariffs row, says MP

SIR Keir Starmer should swallow his pride and ask Nigel Farage to intervene in Donald Trump's latest tariff raid, says Robert Jenrick.
The Tory turned Reform UK MP said his new boss was best placed to talk the US president down from increasing the rate the UK must pay from 10% to 15%.
Mr Jenrick claimed Mr Farage’s apparent special relationship with Mr Trump could spare Britain from the blanket tariffs.
Revealing he wants the Reform chief to tell the president he is wrong, Mr Jenrick said: “Look, Keir Starmer has tried his best, but I would bet that Nigel Farage will be better at negotiating with Donald Trump than Keir Starmer has been.”
