Family's anger as 'speedboat killer' freed after 5 years

Victim's parents 'will never get the truth’
A GRIEVING mother and father have spoken out in anger as "speedboat killer" Jack Shepherd was freed from jail after just five years for killing their daughter.
Heartless Shepherd, 31, wined and dined Charlotte Brown, 24, after they met on website OkCupid.
He then took her on a high speed ride on the River Thames past the Houses of Parliament in his speedboat in December 2015.
Both were thrown out due to defective steering, with Charlotte drowning as Shepherd cried out to rescuers "help me" - rather than "us".
Shepherd fled to Georgia and was jailed for manslaughter by gross negligence in his absence in July 2018. He handed himself in 10 months later.
