Family liaison cop jailed for having sex with grieving widow

A DECORATED ex-policeman has been jailed for having sex with a vulnerable widow he was sent to help.

Family liaison officer PC Forbes Scott fondled the woman while consoling her following her husband's sudden death.

He also put kisses in text messages and sent explicit photographs of himself to her, a court heard.

The Norfolk Police officer kept turning up in uniform at the woman's house late at night in 2011 and had sex with her eight times, Judge Martyn Levett was told.

Scott, 58, of Drayton, Norwich, who admitted misconduct in a public office over a five-month period, was jailed for 22 months yesterday and banned from contacting the woman.
