THE lyricist behind the English libretto for Les Miserables felt he was not given enough recognition for his work on the hit musical, his newly uncovered letters reveal.
Talented Daily Express journalist Herbert Kretzmer, who died in 2020 aged 95, wrote in 1987 of “unpleasant actions taken by others to downgrade my credit and contribution”.
