'Each day with Mum is so precious'

EVERY precious day is a moment to cherish and savour, the daughter of dying Dame Esther Rantzen says.

The broadcasting legend was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2023 and did not expect to see Christmas that year.

But modern medicine has given former That's Life! presenter Dame Esther, who turns 85 in June, extra months and her family is determined to make every second count.

Rebecca Wilcox, 45, said: "Every day is a big moment for us it's no longer our last Christmas, our last Mother's Day or our last Easter. Every single day is precious.

"The most important thing is to see each other as often as possible because life is finite, we are all very aware of that, and to love each moment we have together.
