Downton 'so lucky to have had Maggie'

DOWNTON Abbey star Jim Carter says the cast were lucky to have worked with Maggie Smith "for so long".

Dame Maggie, who played Violet Crawley in the ITV drama and subsequent films, died aged 89 last September.

Jim, 76, reprises the role of Charles Carson in the latest Downton movie, which is being released later this year.
