Depardieu guilty of sex assaults

FRENCH actor Gerard Depardieu was yesterday found guilty of sexually assaulting two women on a film set.

The Cyrano de Bergerac star, 76, was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentence, and placed on a sex offenders registry in France. He was not present as the verdict was read out at the Paris Correctional Court following a trial earlier this year.

It followed him being described as a “sex attacker” who “preys on the weak”.
