Delay in fixing cladding risks

A WHITEHALL watchdog wants a target date set for billions of pounds worth of work to make safe thousands of buildings with danger cladding.

At least 7,000 across England are yet to be identified and some may never be, the National Audit Office said.

It warned that completing works to make all buildings safe at an estimated cost of £16billion might not be achieved in the next decade.
