Dedicated follower of fashion

THE Princess of Wales continued to fly the flag for British fashion yesterday as she handed out a prize named in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth.

Kate, who wore a wide-leg olive suit designed by Victoria Beckham, was hailed as “a real style icon” by award winner Patrick McDowell.

She was a special guest at the British Fashion Council ceremony at 180 Studios, in The Strand, Central London.

Patrick, who runs a luxury sustainable fashion brand worn by the likes of Keira Knightley, Sarah Jessica Parker and Lady Gaga, became the latest recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.

It recognises and celebrates workers making a positive impact on the environment.
