Dad, 35, died of heart attack after it took TWO 999 calls before ambulance was sent

A MAN died from a heart attack after being given an incorrect response time by the ambulance service, his family said.

Lee Christopher, 35, asked the 999 operator how long paramedics would be as he battled to stay conscious at home in June last year. He was told help would be there in 18 minutes, it was said.

Lee and his partner Brooke lived in Oxted, Surrey, less than 20 minutes' drive from a hospital. But after calling emergency services at 3.19am, the couple thought help was on the way.
