Carrick's rapid response team is reviving United

But while his players are enjoying the plaudits after back-to-back victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, it's Carrick's backroom staff who have laid the foundations.

It's been a perfect start for United's interim manager.

Two wins have helped restore optimism for the run-in after he inherited a team that was already out of all the cups.

Assistant manager Steve Holland and coach Jonathan Woodgate have been hands-on alongside Carrick (circle) during training sessions.

Jonny Evans and Travis Binnion are also serving as first-team coaches.
