Can peace summit end in royal reconciliation?

ROYAL reconciliation is on everyone’s lips after a “peace summit” was held between key members of the King and Prince Harry’s camps last week.

Father and son have had a fraught relationship since Harry and wife Meghan decided to quit as senior royals in favour of a new life in America. In the five years since Megxit, the couple have levelled numerous public attacks at the Firm.

At the heart of the issue has been Harry’s court battle over his right to taxpayer-funded security when he and his family are in the UK. The Duke of Sussex believed the King could intervene in the judicial process — something sources say was not within the monarch’s remit.
