Winger out to sink the boss who tried to sign him

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

A DECADE on from first disappointing Thomas Frank, Jacob Bruun Larsen aims to frustrate him again today.

The Burnley winger turned Frank down in 2015 when he tried to lure him from Lyngby to Brondby in their native Denmark, choosing a move to Borussia Dortmund instead.

He remembers being impressed by how much Frank knew about him when he was just 16 and how he saw him in the No. 8 position.

The pair will be reunited at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today when the Clarets are the visitors and Bruun Larsen hopes to spoil Frank's first Premier League game in charge of Spurs.

"We had a chat and I still remember it crystal clear that he wanted to put me in as No.8 but I wanted to go to Germany instead," said Bruun Larsen.

"I was making the decision between going to a new country or move to him and a bigger club in Denmark.
