Baz hails qualities of new white-ball skipper

BRENDON McCULLUM has compared Harry Brook's impressive start in charge of the white-ball side to that of Ben Stokes' dramatic influence on the Test outfit.

The England head coach, nicknamed Baz, also praised Brook for putting his "personal" blueprint on the team and sparking a much-needed revival.

Yorkshire's Brook took over an outfit whose confidence and morale had been dealt a few painful blows from successive World Cup, Champions Trophy and series losses.

England's world-beaters had not just lost their crowns but, with Jos Buttler suffering for the downturn in form by losing the captaincy, they appeared to lose their way.
