British team piece together wreckage of Titanic sub

Chunks of the Titan vessel were unloaded at St John's in Newfoundland, Canada from the Horizon Arctic ship.

UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch members inspected them as they assisted with a probe into the deaths of five men, including three Britons, on board the doomed sub.

A coastguard source at St John's said: "To gain the greatest understanding of the implosion, investigators will now forensically piece together the Titan.

"Rebuilding it like a jigsaw provides them with the greatest amount of information about just how the submersible failed." Once the ship had docked, the debris was quickly covered in large tarpaulins before being lifted by cranes on to waiting trucks.
